Team 1 Photos From Dino Slam Tournament at Prolific Sports House North

We were at the Dinos Slam Tournament on April 26th - 27th, hosted by Primetime Sports Co. in Calgary. From the opening tip, we faced some of the top teams in the city, but Team 1 rose to the challenge. One of the most notable moments came when we matched up against one of the top-ranked teams in all of Western Canada. Their roster featured national team athletes and Jr. EYBL players. It looked like a mismatch on paper, but we battled hard and only lost by 8 points. Our journey through the tournament didn’t stop there. In a very competitive bracket of nine strong teams, we made it to the 3rd place game and fell just short, losing by only 4 points in a tightly contested matchup. Although we didn’t bring home a medal, we gained something just as valuable: respect, belief, and experience.
